We are looking for a number of General Operatives

At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated team players who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading roots supplier in the UK.

This a fulltime contract, you will join us on a permanent contract, working on a panama shift pattern which equates to 78.75 hours per fortnight (06:00 – 18:00).

The job role

As a General Operator you will be grading and packing raw material and ensuring that all customer requirements are met alongside ensuring that all production and quality procedures are adhered to at all times.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Trimming raw material to customer specification
  • Packing and stacking trays of packed product, checking quality as you go
  • Cleaning the production areas as you work or elsewhere as required
  • Assisting with product changeovers to ensure downtime is minimised
  • Ensuring you understand the required specifications for production, seeking advice if unsure. If product is out of tolerance you must stop and seek advice from your first line manager or a member of the management team.
  • Follow manual handling and lifting guidelines at all times.
