We are looking for a Goods In and Out Manager!

At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading conventional roots supplier in the UK.

You will join us on a fulltime, permanent contract.

Your normal working days will be worked on a Monday to Friday work pattern.

This role is fulltime role, and you will join us on a permanent contract. You will be working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 17:00, in return for a competitive salary of £40,000 – £42,000 depending on experience.

Responsibility

The job role

We are looking for an experienced Goods In and Out Manager to join us and play a key part in the operation of our Goods In and Our department!

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Take accountability of the department’s overall performance, ensure all customer orders are supplied on time and in full.
  • Manage workload to ensure efficient and accurate in-loading of materials and out-loading of customer orders.
  • Provide support to the team, resolving any issues that arise throughout the day. Embed a culture that is performance driven with the aim to exceed all productivity, quality and safety targets.
  • Manage new and existing staff training, conduct competency assessments, maintain department’s SOPs and Risk Assessments.
  • Manage new starters ensuring they’re assigned to a training schedule, monitored against performance with probations. Ensure support is in place.
  • Regular PDRs for staff with clear objectives & feedback on performance, create pathways for staff development in line with business objectives.
  • Liaise with HR and manage department’s recruitment.
  • Conduct RTW’s, monitor absences, escalate and report on trends. Provide admin and investigatory support for HR and H&S.
  • Complete weekly payroll, report on excessive hours or anomalies.
  • Maintain staff rota and arrange holiday cover and manage and optimise the workload between shifts.
  • Promote H&S within the workplace. Ensure accidents + near misses are reported, conduct investigations, ensure corrective actions are in place.
  • Escalation point of contact for hauliers.
  • Shortages/Overs and rejection investigations. POD queries and disputes.
  • Review MHE checks at start up, ensuring they have all been completed and any work required is reported.
  • Weekly KPI reports.
  • Manage department’s spendings and review budgets

What we are looking for

  • Proven experience in a management role
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse / production environment
  • FLT Licence
  • Confidence to change the norm
  • Strong Microsoft skills
  • Warehouse Management System Experience (i.e. NAV)
