Night Hygiene Manager

We are looking for a Night Hygiene Manager!

At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading conventional roots supplier in the UK.

You will join us on a fulltime, permanent contract.

The shift pattern will be flexible due to operational needs, however will consist of 5 nights out of 7 with typical hours of 21:00 to 05:30.

The Job Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Technical, you will play a key role in ensuring hygiene excellence on site and optimising hygiene standards through use of SOP’s and/or CIC’s.

Key responsibilities

  • Image
    Ensure that COSHH regulations and all Health & Safety, Company Policies and Procedures are followed
  • Image
    Implement and maintain a thorough and complete cleaning schedule with associated procedures, risk assessments and systems
  • Image
    Leading the hygiene aspect of your shifts audits, inspections and visits
  • Image
    Understanding of environmental microbiology, the effects of cleaning, the risks of poor hygiene standards and how to correct these issues
  • Image
    Ensure SOP’s and/or CIC’s are fit for purpose and trained to all users
  • Image
    Use forklift truck and cherry-picker for cleaning at height only when trained to do so
  • Image
    Use cleaning chemicals to the correct titration as stated on the hygiene instruction cards in conjunction with COSHH procedures
  • Image
    Manage the Hygiene Team and department budget, conducting 1-2-1’s with the team and relevant team meetings or briefings
  • Image
    Effective management of Chemical suppliers and orders within department budget requirements
  • Image
    Work in collaboration with the Technical team to ensure departments [GMP] standards are achieved
  • Image
    Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings up to final written warning

What we are looking for

Essential

  • Image
    Min 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Image
    Min 3 years’ experience managing a team within a challenging environment
  • Image
    COSHH Trained
  • Image
    FLT Trained
  • Image
    HACCP Level 2
  • Image
    First Aid trained
  • Image
    Fire Marshal
  • Image
    Basic level of computer literacy
  • Image
    Strong numeracy levels
  • Image
    Strong spelling and grammar
