Responsibility

The Job Role

Reporting directly to the Planning and Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that all materials required for packing are kept at the correct stock and budget levels.

The responsibilities of the role include:

  • Image
    Divisional responsibility for setting and controlling of the packaging and trays budget.
  • Image
    Optimizing stock level replenishment and reporting on supplier performance indicators
  • Image
    Divisional continual improvement within the packaging, trays, PPE and miscellaneous purchases.
  • Image
    Monitor consumption of packaging on the lines and reconcile with stocks on NAV.
  • Image
    Communicate with supplier’s long-term forecast and demands.
  • Image
    Provide administrative support to supply chain and procurement where necessary, which may include holiday cover.
  • Image
    Packaging management with KPI data relating to consumption and waste trends.
  • Image
    Share the KPI’s and CIP plans results with others in team.
  • Image
    Look at NPD and costings with a view to deliver cost saving and continuous improvement ideas divisionally.

What we are looking for

  • Image
    A minimum of 2 years planning and packaging experience
  • Image
    Ability to negotiate the best deals with suppliers by challenging prices.
  • Image
    Ease of making contacts with vendors and establishing good relationships
  • Image
    Strong communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Image
    A real team player with a positive attitude to implement change.
