FLT Driver

We are looking for FLT Drivers!

At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a dynamic team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading fresh produce supplier in the UK. We’re dedicated to using the very best of sustainable farming techniques in our own farming and collaborating with other expert farmers. We grow the finest quality potatoes, root vegetables which we pack ourselves to supply to our customers.

You will join us on a fulltime, permanent contract.

There are varied shift patterns available however the main shift pattern we run will be Panama, two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, two days on, three days off, equating to 82.25 hours per fortnight.

Responsibility

The Job Role

Reporting directly to the shift supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring that we meet quality standards and complete all customers orders on time.

Key responsibilities include:

    To ensure all raw materials are correctly weighed and labelled and deposited into the correct cold store
  • Image
    To efficiently stack and store the raw material/ finish goods in the appropriate areas, move product to storage location, ensure the product count is accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances
  • Image
    Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
  • Image
    Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
  • Image
    Ensure proper stock rotation
  • Image
    Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
  • Image
    To ensure that the product is correctly loaded and secure on the pallet and taken to the correct cold store. Ensure that it is correctly and safely deposited
  • Image
    To ensure you carry out a daily start up check on your forklift as per the start up sheet
  • Image
    When leaving the FLT always ensure the FLT is left with brakes applied turned off and keys removed
  • Image
    When carrying out an unusual procedure or carrying a difficult load, ensure you review the area and are aware of any potential dangers
  • Image
    Be constantly aware of the people who work around you and always operate at a safe travelling speeds, never travel with passengers on the forklift truck
  • Image
    Report any faults on the forklift truck immediately
  • Image
    Report all accidents immediately
  • Image
    To undertake any other duties requested by your Line Manager
  • Image
    Adhere to Produce World’s values and behaviours

What we are looking for

  • Image
    6 Months within an FMCG environment
  • Image
    Must hold the relevant up to date FLT Counterbalance Licence
  • Image
    Ability to use Microsoft office
  • Image
    Literacy and Numeracy skills
  • Image
    A team player
