We are looking for an FLT Team Leader!

At our Production site based in Isleham, Cambridgeshire we are looking for a diligent, self-motivated team player who can exceed in their duties to help us retain our position as a leading conventional roots supplier in the UK.

You will join us on a fulltime permanent contract.

You main working pattern will be a panama shift pattern working 05:30 to 17:30.

Responsibility

The Job Role

Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that we meet quality standards and complete all customers orders on time.

The responsibilities of the role include:

    Act as the on-site MHE Instructor, delivering MHE and job-specific training to all operators.
  • Image
    Maintain and manage training matrixes, coordinating all training activities across site.
  • Image
    Supervise drivers and provide support in resolving daily operational challenges.
  • Image
    Conduct incident investigations and proactively identify and implement safety improvements.
  • Image
    Support recruitment activities, onboarding processes, and probation reviews.
  • Image
    Carry out new driver assessments and provide ongoing mentoring and coaching.
  • Image
    Provide cover for other roles within the team as required.

What we are looking for

  • Image
    Valid FLT licence (shunter + PPT licence also preferable – training can be provided)
  • Image
    At least 2 years of proven experience operating FLT’s, with knowledge of safe operating practices.
  • Image
    Confident in delivering practical and classroom-based training, with ability to mentor new and existing operators and assess competency levels.
  • Image
    Clear and effective communicator, able to engage with team members at all levels and provide constructive feedback.
  • Image
    Basic IT skills, including the ability to manage training matrixes, reports, and operational systems.
